Today Bangkokherping will introduce you to the "slithery locals" of Bang Kachao! Let’s see which species we've found! 🐍🌿✨

🔴 HIGHLY VENOMOUS (Be extremely careful!):
Monocled cobra (งูเห่าหม้อ)
Banded krait (งูสามเหลี่ยม)
White-lipped pitviper (งูเขียวหางไหม้ท้องเหลือง)
Large-eyed pitviper (งูเขียวหางไหม้ตาโต)

🟡 MILDLY VENOMOUS / Won't harm humans unless provoked:
Long-nosed Vine snake (งูเขียวปากจิ้งจก)
Striped / Small-banded kukri snake (งูปี่แก้วลายแถบ / ขนาดเล็ก)
Ornate flying snake (งูเขียวพระอินทร์ - Can glide!)

🟢 NON-VENOMOUS / Natural Pest Controllers / Water Snakes:
Reticulated python (งูเหลือม - The biggest one!)
Sunbeam / Brahminy blind snake (งูแสงอาทิตย์ / งูดิน)
Jodi’s pipe snake (งูก้นงอน/งูก้นหนอน)
Checkered keelback (งูลายสอ)
Radiated / Indochinese / Oriental rat snake (งูทางมะพร้าว / งูสิงธรรมดา / งูสิงตาโต)

🌿 Tip: If you encounter them in the area, don't panic and do not harm them! Slowly step back, as most snakes will only strike when they feel threatened!
